The Aexeous Robot, Inc. is proud to announce our support of the Hockomock Area YMCA's Reach Out for Youth and Families program!  This wonderful community program is dedicated to achieving a Real impact on Real People by:

  • Improving the health of kids
  • Molding young people
  • Strengthening families

Our goal is to support the YMCA to help those in their community by providing an ongoing donation campaign so everyone in the community they can benefit from their effective mission-driven programs and services.  The Hockomock Area YMCA is committed to strengthening the foundation of their community by offering value-based programming to all of their friends and neighbors  regardless of their ability to pay.

The Hockomock Area YMCA has made a promise to the people in their community:  To be there when children and families need them the most.  This campaign helps to ensure that they keep that promise.  The YMCA is a not-for-profit and all of the money raised in our Reach Out For Youth & Families Campaign is used to help carry out that promise and will provide less fortunate families with access to a YMCA membership and programming.  Unlike many other organizations, 100% of your gift goes to local families, adults and children!

In 2010, the Hockomock YMCA will continue their proud tradition of responding to the emerging needs of their community through:

  • HEALTHY FUTURES - Their region wide initiative to address the epidemic of childhood obesity through a collective community response.
  • INTEGREATION INITIATIVE - Their innovative effort to provide programming through integrated, inclusive environments for children with special needs.
  • HOCKOMOCK YMCA ARTS CENTER - Their focus on fostering a culture of life-long learning and appreciation for the arts where individuals and families spark creative thinking, develop artistic skills and awaken curiosity.
  • TEENS - The centerpiece of their commitment to imparting their core character values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility in young adults through leadership development, mentoring and experiential education.

As a friend or family member, we ask for your support in helping us to carry out the mission of the YMCA.  Last year they gave out over $1.1 million in financial assistance for children and families in their community who needed it and did not turn anyone away from their services.

Here is how your contribution can help:

$25 - 50 - Helps a family afford a membership who otherwise would not be able to.

$69 - Gives a child an opportunity to learn to swim for 8 weeks.  A life skill that no child should go without learning.

$78 - Gives a child a chance to play in a youth soccer, baseball or basketball league OR for a child to take an arts & enrichment class such as sewing, theater and photography

$104 - Provides on week of childcare for a parent who needs it to keep his/her job.

$150 or $13/month - Gives a teen membership for one year so that he/she can be in a safe, enriching environment while not in school.

$188 - Allows a child to attend summer camp for a week.

$31/month - Allows a child to attend summer camp for two weeks.

As you can see, it doesn't take much to help those in need, and every dollar goes toward enriching the lives of children and families!  And your gift is also tax deductible!

Here is a REAL Mission story (one of many the YMCA receives each week):
"In February of this year, my husband and Vivian and Evy's stepfather, Andrew, was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive type of brain cancer.  His illness, which is being treated with chemotherapy, has made it impossible for him to work, and the family currently has no income other than gifts provided by relatives and friends.  His medical bills are enormous and I am currently trying to find work myself, but with three young children at home-the youngest is only one, this is providing challenging to say the least.  The two girls are extremely upset and anxious about the situation, as it is clear to them that this is a life threatening illness.  Andy will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant in July after he has finished with chemo.  This will mean that he will be hospitalized for about 6 weeks over the summer, and I will be the only one who can visit him in isolation.  It would be a huge help to me and a wonderful distraction for the girls to be able to attend summer camp at the Foxboro YMCA-but as it stands right now impossible for us to afford." ~ Wendy

WHY DO WE BELIEVE IN THIS PROGRAM SO STRONGLY?  READ JOE SILVA'S OWN TESTIMONIAL
"Growing up in the economically challenged area of South Providence, Rhode Island as a child of a single mother, I know first hand the importance of how outreach programs can make a positive impact on a child's life.  I was fortunate enough to receive a sponsorship from our local community outreach program to be able to go to Brantwood camp in New Hampshire in the 1970's for three summers in a row.  I know now that I was extremely  fortunate to receive such an amazing opportunity.  Given my families financial hardship, I would have never had an chance to leave the urban area I was living in to attend such a beautiful summer camp and enjoy the many wonderful programs they offered (camping, arts & crafts, swimming, archery, etc).   But by the generosity of others in my community who contributed to this program, I was able to get off the streets and have a chance to be involved in something that was incredibly positive.  Each of the summers I was there was so rewarding it really left a lasting impression on me and changed my life in so many positive ways.   Having a chance now as an adult and a business owner to give back to other children to have this same experience is incredibly important to me.  I am proud to support this program, and hope you will share my enthusiasm for helping to change the lives of other underprivileged children by donating today!"
